Delft University of Technology (TUDelft)
Delft University of Technology was founded in 1842 as the Royal Academy by King Willem II. It has been known as the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) since 1986. It is the oldest and also the largest university of technology in the Netherlands.
T U Delft has been consistently ranked in the top 20 universities of the world in its specializations in Technology, Engineering, and the Sciences. It has a world reputation for high-quality teaching and research and has extensive contacts with governments, trade organisations, consultancies, industry and small and medium-sized companies.
T U Delft’s 5000 employees and many of their master degree students take pride in the fact that the cooperative relationships they have with universities and other organizations around the world have helped the university maintain its position as a leading university of technology.
In Yemen, in addition to their partnership with Taiz University, T U Delft assumed the leading role in the development of the Ministry of Higher Education’s master plan to establish the sector’s information technology network for Yemen’s universities and also the subsequent establishment of the Ministry of Higher Education’s Yemen Center for Information Technology which is responsible for implementing the plan to establish the ICT network and the range of IT services for higher education in Yemen.
