Academic Recognition
Taiz University was established in 1993 by Republic decree No. 44/1993 and is currently the third largest university in Yemen. It is licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to provide a wide range of post-secondary education to national and international students. It is also approved by the Supreme Council for Universities to confer graduate degrees.
The University’s Center for Graduate Studies (CGS) was established on the core principle of developing world-class programmes based on established quality assurance standards and will continually seek to secure professional accreditation of its specialist programmes.
The Centre seeks to achieve this by applying the strict academic standards of its partners, including the standards applicable to master’s programmes in Europe, the United States and Asia.
During the design of the two premier programmes featured in this brochure, the accreditation standards issued by the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO) were referenced as the primary programme anchors.
